This workshop was a collaboration between West Cork Music and Comharcumann Chléire. The project was aimed at the musicians on Cape Clear, who are either residents there, or are participating in the Ghaeltacht summer opportunities. The format was an opening introduction from Caoimhe & Séamus, describing the sean-nós tradition that they come from, and how they have added to it. They demonstrated the tradition, accompanying themselves on fiddle and harp, and how they have made the music their own by adding in harmonies or changing from major to minor keys. Next they taught the participants a song, that included the key change element. The song was in Irish, but they included phonetic lyrics for English speakers, making it more accessible. The workshop concluded with a question and answer session.
