Join local geologist Anthony Beese for a look at the rich heritage of Sherkin’s place‑names. The names are part of a  code and tell the story of the island minutely – in terms of its geology, archaeology and cultural landscape. The talk will conclude with a look at the art — and the science — of converting the archive into a map that people can relate to.
