HUMDILI Project

Location: Sherkin Northshore

Organiser: SallyAnn Lenehan

When: Sat Oct 5th 2024

‘Humdili’ occurred on Sherkin Island over two days in October. The connection happened through collaboratively made Haiku poetry and the sharing of poetry and songs in Pashto, Persian, English, and Irish. There was also a cookery demonstration by the Afghani women and, later that day, an Afghan feast that was shared with the islanders. In association with CARA Community Sponsherip Group.
