Two days to celebrate Ulysses and to enjoy performances of Ulysses-related musical and artistic activities in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Ulysses is full of humour, history, allegory and literary chicanery. However, it is the music of Ulysses that can often be overlooked by readers. By listening to these songs together and discussing how their themes interweave with the themes of the novel, many additional layers of Joyce’s genius will be revealed. Ken & John were joined on Sherkin Islands for a Bloomsday weekend to celebrate the music of one of the most famous novels in English literature.
